Abdulaziz was the son of Abdul Rahman bin Faisal Al Saud the last ruler of the Second Saudi State πΈπ¦. When his father was deposed and killed by Ottoman Empire in 1891, it left Abdulaziz with little power and nothing above poverty . Growing up with little resources he eventually had no choice but to flee to Kuwait in 1895 due to Ottoman persecution against the Saud family members πͺ π°πΌ π.
In Kuwait, Abdulaziz worked as a trader, buying, and selling goods from the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea π οΈ. Throughout his reign, Abdulaziz was a powerful advocate of Saudi Arabiaβs Islamic tradition and culture πΈπ¦ οΈ. He encouraged womenβs education and allowed women to take part in public life π©.
