Saudi Arabia’s historical past dates back thousands of years.. It was colonized from the outside by Arabian tribals. These external forces were the Assyrians Babylonians Persians Romans Romans as well as the British. The Romans would arrive in the region in 106 CE, and would eventually establish the city of Hegra, which is now known as Mada’in Saleh, as a major trading hub ️. The Romans would bring with them their own form of law and justice in addition to their own version of the Christian religion which would remain popular in the region until the 7th century .
Finally the British would colonize Saudi Arabia in the early 20th century 🇸🇦. The British had set up a protectorate over the region following their victory in World War I, which allowed them to consolidate their control over the region. They would eventually put into place a government that was supportive of British interests, and this would remain in place until the present day.
