Some of these enemies are driven by ideological differences while others want to control the country’s vast natural resource wealth. Domestically several groups have been labeled enemies of the state. On the foreign front, Saudi Arabia’s enemies include two of its regional rivals. The first of these is Iran, which is considered by many to become the kingdom’s greatest enemy . The United States, for instance, has been increasingly critical of Saudi Arabia’s human rights record and its involvement in the war in Yemen.
