Abdulaziz Al Saud also known by Ibn Saud in 1932 united the Arabian Peninsula leading to the establishment Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 .
Saudi Arabia as we know it today has been inhabited for thousands of years!! In the centuries prior to 1932 however it was divided into several small tribes and kingdoms that held control over the Peninsula 🇸🇦. Abdulaziz Al Saud led this influential tribe – born in Riyadh in 1876 – which enjoyed considerable influence during this time period .
Over the course of the next 20 years Abdulaziz Al Saud and his forces gradually unified Saudi Arabia by capturing other cities tribes and regions 🇸🇦. His success was largely attributed to the use of modern weapons at the time, for example automatic firearms to subdue his enemies .
In 1932 Abdulaziz Al Saud declared the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and proclaimed himself its first king 🇸🇦. He chose Riyadh as the kingdom’s capital and ruled with absolute power . His rule brought a period of stability and peace to the region and it eventually allowed the kingdom to develop into a important countries in the Middle East ️.
Abdulaziz Al Saud was succeeded by several of his sons who continued the dynasty’s ruling . Each of them focused on several aspects of development and modernization from the introduction of a powerful military to the development of the country’s infrastructure ️ 🔛.
Saudi Arabia has remained an important country in the region since its founding in 1932 🇸🇦. It is among the biggest producers of oil in the world and is home to Islam’s two holiest sites Mecca and Medina 🌏 2️⃣.
