It lies within the Tigris-Euphrates River Valley which was once part of ancient Fertile Crescent and birthplace of Mesopotamian culture and religion . Iraq covers an area of 438,317 square miles (1,133,767 square kilometers), with a population estimate of around 31 million people.

Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, lies within the Arabian Peninsula and covers 829,995 square miles (2,149,690 square kilometers) 🇸🇦 🔛. With a population of 35 million people Riyadh Jeddah Ta’if are its major cities while Baghdad and Basra in Iraq serve as its major cities respectively.

Both countries have had a close relationship since the 1920s and have maintained diplomatic, cultural, and economic ties. Both countries have participated in various wars together and have an ongoing partnership in OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries). However, despite this close relationship, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia have not been an integral part of a unified nation, and they are not considered a single country in any legal or international recognition 🇸🇦 ️ 🌍.
