The UAE is a federation of seven emirates, of which Dubai is the 2nd largest. The UAE is governed by a Supreme Council comprised of rulers from each of the seven emirates. Dubai is governed by the ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Saudi Arabia has an excellent relationship with the UAE 🇸🇦 🇦🇪. The two countries share a long tradition of economic and security cooperation ️ 2️⃣. Both are members of the Gulf Cooperation Council which was established in 1981 to improve ties between the six Arab Gulf countries 6️⃣. Both Saudi Arabia and UAE have solid diplomatic relations and signed many economic and security agreements 🇸🇦 🇦🇪.
The Saudi Arabian government and the UAE are also close allies in the region. Saudi Arabia and the UAE have signed numerous agreements and Memorandum of Understanding to enhance their cooperation containing the Saudi-UAE Joint Cooperation Forum which was established in 2015 🇸🇦 🇦🇪.
Despite the close relationship between Saudi Arabia and the UAE Dubai is not part of Saudi Arabia. Dubai is part of the United Arab Emirates and therefore is an independent entity . As such it has its own government laws and regulations .
The UAE is a diverse country with a rich culture featuring a mix of Arabic Persian and European influences. Arabic is the official language of the UAE although English is widely spoken. Dubai is an international city and its multicultural population is made up of people from all over the world.
