Saudi Arabia is a monarchy that is run by the Al Saud family!! A king is the head of state and supreme commander of the military. He also serves as guardian of Islamic Law. The Saudi system of government was founded on Sharia law which is Islamic teachings and the Basic Law of Saudi Arabia (the country’s constitution) ️ 🇸🇦 🔛 !

It serves as an advisory body to the King and makes recommendations on laws and public policy 🔛. The Shura Council also has a role in approving the country’s budget and can propose legislation to the King ️.
The Saudi court system is built upon the Sharia and is divided into three main branches: the Supreme Court, the Court of Cassation, and the Board of Grievances 3️⃣ 🇸🇦. The Supreme Court is the highest court in the country and hears appeals from lower courts . The Court of Cassation hears appeals from lower courts and appeals from the Supreme Court . The Board of Grievances is an administrative court that mainly deals with civil cases .
